Are there people who don't think of him as a hack who's big trick was making up the beginning of a story and leaving the project before it had to come to an end and he'd have had to actually finish the story?

Ich geh eh nicht zu DM.
Ich bin aber generell skeptisch was solche Boykotte bringen. Und gerade hier wird dadurch ja von dem eigentlichen Problem abgelenkt, nämlich dass die meisten Reichen wesentlich lieber in ner Diktatur leben als mehr Steuern zu zahlen.

That's just jumpstyle. You can search on youtube and I'm sure you'll find 15 year old videos from German teenagers doing it from the 3 months people here thought it was cool. We had a very hip sports teacher so we did that in sports class like 2 years after anyone liked it.

Most people in the world aren't even Christian nor from countries where Christmas is historically a thing.

Kurosawa did that stuff with Yojimbo and Sanjuro in the early 60s and Lucas definotely watched those. But I'm sure there are other, older examples. I guess if you wanna go way back Oedipus Rex, Oedipus at Colonus and Antigone are from like 400 B.C. but I don't know if that influenced anyone directly

In the blooper reel during the credits after Rush Hour 2, there is a shot where some minor bad guy gets kicked from some high place and Chris Rock says smth like "oh, looks he won't be in Rush Hour 3", and I think that should have been the only time anybody ever thought of a third Rush Hour movie

And when you are on a very short deadline, you may prefer doing a canister with without because that's familiar and you have done it before. There is usually no reason to not do it that way if you can take time
