Extra also from sketchbook time today: Baker and Goody put together a birthday surprise for Saul

And a few non-ggg space fillers in the ol' sketchbook. I had bought a pentel graph gear 300 in .9, loved it but didn't realize how much until I dropped it in savannah, and ordered a new one and it came in today so I just had to break it in :)

And other ggg lil sketchbook fill-ins. They've been great for touching up empty areas on live drawing pages, where I try to draw big but also nowhere near the page edge or spine-gutter.

A commission from a while back for @certomistle.bsky.social of his flying fox+tailed bat hybrid Solare, and his pine marten friend taking a flight!
A lanky flying anthropomorphic man flies with his wing-arms and holds a 'cartoon animal'/quadrupedal pine marten character with his clawed feet. Stayed out too late at a rad halloween party; Here's the last pokemon inking challenge piece. The Muk and Ditto familly, in all-alcohol-ink-marker color :) I was worried it would need colored pencils because of limitations of purple in my markers, but the grey tone options worked well.

& here's the still image! The light shadows on Lugia's whiter portions where also pretty reflective when scanning, so next you see me at a local event selling originals, eyeball it! (if it hasn't sold yet >:D) Just 1 more & then all the pokemon inking challenge posting is done, & it's halloween!

Today's pokemon inking challenge piece starts out after all the inking is done! Here's a process video of some of the layering of colored pencils over the alcohol ink marker colors for the Lugia and Kyogre illustration. Blues, like purples, seem very hard to get nuanced by offbrand alcohol ink.

Today's pokemon inking challenge is the Nidoking duel, but now in color! The different game sprites also had different vibrancies of pink and green and warmth of belly color, so that's reflected here, especially with the blunter-point Nidoking's head and neck flushing with exertion.

Today's pokemon inking challenge is a mixed Ditto and Muk family portrait, where mom is a Ditto living as a Muk but is charmed to have a baby that looks like her now! Both older grimer kids wana hold the baby :)

And here is a still version of today's pokemon inking challenge, of two Nidokings duking it out in a wrestling struggle.

They're subtly different in spike and snout shape, a call back to differences in in game sprites for the pokemon in different generation games.

Today's pokemon inking challenge piece is the color version of sushi-waiter Lickitung. Pink is a real tough color to get right with off-brand alcohol-ink marker, as many of them use UV pink in the mix & it absolutely over powers other pigments. So, this 1 has a layer of color pencils to adjust hues.
