Yeah.. We got back last week. Weather in SE Asia wasn't great and only getting worse. We decided to skip the typhoons and come home. Other factors too but we are ok with it.

This is why "smaller" companies can compete with the big houses. Oneplus, Redmi, etc offer similar phones for less.

Soon there will be a phone you 100% build yourself like a desktop gaming system and just subscribe to your favourite OS.

The bonus... Telling me to spend an extra $350 for 2yrs of extended warranty to which I replied that if I had had it, I would be in the exact same position I am now as it would have expired conveniently before the phone turned to a paper weight.

Now I've been told to I can pay the $800+ to fix the phone (no guarantee it won't happen again) or drop nearly $2000 to get a new one.

This is not how you stand behind a flagship model.

Consumers don't spend their money for a top tier phone to only get 2yrs out of it.
