Consortium bought it off the WRU in 2023.

Agreed. Actually, thinking about it, isn’t Fuch’s wife worth something similar?

Funny enough, I couldn’t face the trip to Colchester and went to Ashton Gate on Saturday. The set up is impressive, but of course they are owned by Steve Lansdown, of Hargreaves-Lansdown, who is worth £1.72 Billion if Wikipedia is correct.

Exactly that ⬆️

Finally - leave Fuchs in charge of the football, all we can do is hope and prepare for the almost inevitable on the field. The biggest battle is off it. If we don’t prepare and accept the situation we could be done for. It’s a sad situation to be in, but what stage is acceptance in the grief cycle?

I would keep the cash and accept the reality that is staring us in the face. Speak to Newport and Torfaen councils (buy Spytty or Cwmbran stadium?) FAW, WAG, anyone to make some progress in this area. Engage with the fans who are more than happy to help and end the ground issue once and for all

Which comes to our malaise on the pitch. I would argue, if we don’t beat Barnet and Crewe or Tranmere, and fall further behind in the new year, there is little point bringing new players in. It will be a waste of money, an expensive gamble that doesn’t pay off as both Carlisle and FGR found out

He’s made errors - in managerial recruitment and retention and I think he’d recognise that. However, if he can turn us into a sustainable club in the National League playing in a stadium of our own that would be a fine legacy. Spend every penny in this direction - fix the roof before decorating

Jenkins has had a lot of flak (some from this keyboard) but he’s our only hope. I would encourage in this situation both him and the trust to over communicate. In crisis mode people need reassurance and at least on Wednesday what we heard meant everyone is now clear of where we are.

When you are faced with this reality one thing is clear. We have to have our own ground. Without that we are finished, either in the short or medium term (there’s no long term without another lottery winner). How we’ve got here is a moot point. What is important is we face up to reality.

With Alexis Toylo’s game starting at ten past ten tonight, what will finish first - the darts or the Test Match?

👏🏻👏🏻Fair play that is brilliant. Very good.

It’s getting to the point where the upturn in form is going to have to be of the type so dramatic that it occurs once in a lifetime. And we had ours in 2017. Unless two teams have unexpected financial disasters and don’t complete the season we are done for.

I’m going for a 2-1 win, not witnessed by me due to dad duties but I think we will beat the Shale Gas Exploring, Fish Eating Northerners this afternoon
December 13, 2025 at 8:20 AM
Yeah, hopefully. If I’m not there they are guaranteed to win of course 😁

First term done. Hope it went well. I’m bringing mine back from Durham on Saturday, long drive but it at least gives me an excuse to get out of watching shite L2 football.

Listened to this on the way in to work this morning. Well done Jamie for saying how we all feel. It all feels so hopeless, and you are so right regarding the connection with the team. They looked the opposite of BW, who were organised, determined and did the simple things well. Which is all we ask..

Big test for all of the fizzing knitting recently energised on the Valleys Network

Yes, a non-tackling full back is not what we need at all.
