And intent does play a big role in this question, but to simplify: Imagine all my art was the same except they were featureless nude. What of the three options would you call my art there?

I never really follow trends. I bet i could squeeze in a trend post here and there, but I intentionally avoid them most the time.
Im more so thinking of the future, if Im able to build a big enough audience to make art a living. Id hate to resort to drawing stuff Im not passionate about

Learning to draw isn't just having the muscle memory of drawing, but a lot is about understanding what it is you want to draw. If you don't know anatomy, learn bones and muscles. if you cant draw those, learn how to make 3d forms. if you dont know that, learn shapes. Backtrack the issues to the core

I was never told that, I had just figured people could pop 3d forms from their head cause they were "built different". No one is born to draw tho, you just gotta UNDERSTAND what youre drawing first. Dont brute force yourself, once you have the logic in mind, it all clicks together. Art is knowledge!

I cant speak for everyone starting in art, but I highly recommend trying to UNDERSTAND what you want to draw before tryin to draw it. Example: drawing a 3d object is completely different to drawing with the feeling of 3d. One is made to look 3d with 2d lines, and the other is drawing in a 3d mindset

Like, a lot of tutorials out there try to give you a solution to issues in art, saying they're helping "beginners" but for me at least, something as simple as drawing a cube was beyond me. After learning cubes, and practicing 3d forms, holy shit these start to make a bit of sense now...
