We introduce a framework on how to partition species contributions to ecological stability in disturbed communities based on species absolute change in biomass and relative change in proportion.

Excited to share our new seaweed holobiont #Preprint! Over a 3-year bi-monthly sampling, we found that epibiota undergo seasonal succession cycles, shifting back and forth between winter and summer. We also found seasonal and permanent core taxa. Have a look: www.biorxiv.org/content/10.1...

Very excited to announce a 20 year study of microbial ecology and evolution in a lake out today. This is the largest metagenomic seqing of a site resulting in >30k MAGs. We track shift in diversity and strains, and link sweeps to environmental factors.
