I didn't read it as trying to scare folks about losing PreCheck, just a general warning to protect your identity. I mean, I think people should wear masks at protests anyway to avoid covid transmission, so just seems like a good idea all around.

How is it complying in advance to tell folks to shield their identity from ICE if they happen to have provided biometrics? It does not read to me as trying to dissuade people from protesting.
