The way AI images are made starts with noise, which is equal parts light and dark, which gives all the images created with it this very over saturated look. The brights are really bright and the darks are really dark, and they're more equal in proportion than would naturally happen. Compare:

A couple of notes: There were a lot of poi performances, but getting pictures of those is very difficult as the poi are moving too fast. You'll note almost anyone with long hair is wearing dreads. Those are very safe for fire -- they're too dense to catch sparks easily.
