By NATO membership, the United States is pledged to defend Greenland if it is attacked. Attacking Greenland is a betrayal. Not defending it is dereliction of duty and a violation of NATO treaty. NATO Article 5 was invoked once—when the US was attacked on 9/11. Danish soldiers died in Afghanistan.

2/ so the entrance doors in the back were open for light and air flow. A movement to my back left caught my eye. I gently turned to see. It was Jane Goodall coming into the hall and quietly taking a seat in the row behind me several seats down.

3/ In that moment I formed an impression of her. She had high emotional intelligence and was well in control of her emotions. The impression that defined her character was her deep humility.
