Cynical. “The Line” between civilization and barbarism is empathy and teamwork. What she’s describing is a military dictatorship. But I guess she didn’t say a “democratic” society. So… what we don’t say sometimes says it all.

We make interesting things because we don’t have the market pressure of trying to make something for everyone. And the audience is really good. It’s a two way street. Good audiences lead to good shows.

Oh they understand. Maybe it’s their desired outcome that is doubt; and we are the ones who are misunderstanding things.

It’s so transparently a diversion; and the media reports on it like “were” the Dems out of line as the president suggests rather than 1) are the actions actually illegal 2) are law enforcement agents expressing concern that they are being given illegal orders and 3) he threatened to murder them.

He went on to say is that what is important is that we stay focused on positive health outcomes. Not addressing how that would happen given huge cuts. I actually think Jake asked the wrong question. It should be “ how do budget cuts help the administration improve people’s health”.
