this thanksgiving, i’m grateful that my aunt barbara was able to be back home to celebrate thanksgiving with dad and me. it was tough celebrating mom’s favorite holiday without her, but we had a great day nonetheless.

a few years ago, my former boston crew decided to rent a cabin for a week to spend time together. this year was the fourth annual trip. it's no secret the last year and a half has been a challenge for me. these boys keep me sane and grounded, and i'm so grateful that we get to do this every year.

got to ride the one-week old avelia liberty, aka the new @amtrak.com acela! a great and well-needed upgrade. still had that new train smell and all. sure, the seats need some breaking in and re-spacing vs. the windows, but the overall experience was phenomenal. also: bar cart!
