Everyone loved it!
So many arguments after the round

We tried out Resafa for the first time last night
We're big Suchi fans in our group so we knew we'd like it
Lots going on and we all tried different strategies
It was a solid euro that we want to explore again
November 17, 2025 at 5:58 PM
After our discussion of the best games of 2015 on the latest episode, Scott had us dive into Trickerion last night
It was long and I was quite tired by the end of it but it was still awesome
November 10, 2025 at 7:10 PM
Well, Chapter 16 of The Lord of the Rings The Fellowship of the Rings Card Game is pretty tough
You have to thread a tight needle of trick taking to make it work
We were so close, but will need to continue at lunch tomorrow

We got to play two really fun @cmyk.games card games last night
Duos is a team based game where you're trying to complete goal cards
Fruit Fight is better than Flip 7 in so many ways, plus the company that makes this one is awesome
Need to get both!

We played another game of Galileo Galilei tonight
This time at 3p and because we all knew it, it played really quickly
A nice, quick playing euro

We played our second game of Big Shot at lunch today
It's a bidding and are majority game that plays quickly
Lots of big cheers and jeers moments as people win or lose bids
I pulled out the win, too
October 29, 2025 at 7:30 PM
We learned and played Galileo Galilei by @capstone-games.com last night
It played fairly quickly, even with our first play
A mix of mechanics, including Acton selection, with a science theme
We enjoyed it and want to play again this week to see if we can stop Brendo from destroying us again
October 27, 2025 at 2:23 PM
We played White Castle at 3p tonight because we only had about 45 minutes
And it totally worked
Except for the fact I lost...

Best way to celebrate the Blue Jays going to the World Series?
How about crushing a fantastic bottle of Champs and recording a podcast with your best friend?
New episode with Linsae coming on Sunday!

Benji and I finished up our first fun run of Slay the Spire the Board Game tonight by absolutely demolishing the Time Lord
We both built some murder decks in the third Act
Such a great game!

Elsie wanted to play Lego Monkey Palace today
So we got to play with Lego and I snuck out the win
Such a fun table presence
October 11, 2025 at 10:12 PM
Played the fancy Castles of Burgundy last night with the vineyard and shield expansions
I didn't do much with the vineyard and grabbed one shield, so I didn't do much with them
Then I came in last, sooooooo...

I'm running a game design jam at my school today
We're into the prototyping phase of the day
So many reused components
October 8, 2025 at 6:06 PM
Lins and I are out on a date night for Beer Fest in Penticton
No beer has been good so far, but crib is fun
September 29, 2025 at 12:51 AM
We were supposed to play Kids on Bikes tonight, but we forgot our character sheets at home
So we're playing Just One
September 28, 2025 at 3:03 AM
Benji and I continued our Tuesday night Slay the Spire run
Act 2 was a tight one, but we pulled it off
I only had 1 HP left when I spent all my potions to finish off the boss
@megacrit.com
September 24, 2025 at 7:35 PM
We tried out Fishing at lunch today at 3p
Such a weird truck taking game where you're trying to decide if it's with winning a truck because you'll be stuck with those cards next round
Need to play it a bunch more to get a feel for it all
September 19, 2025 at 7:45 PM
I'm erecting the longest elevator shaft I can in Up or Down by @capstone-games.com
It's been a great lunchtime game but for some reason we almost always forget to draw a card at the start of our turns
September 17, 2025 at 7:09 PM
Act 1 of Slay the Spire with Benji tonight
Did just fine, but love the co-op feel of talking things through and working together to keep each other alive
September 17, 2025 at 3:03 AM
I got to try Beer Pioneers tonight
It's one that Brendan imported and I've been wanting to play for a while
It was a great worker placement game with a fun beer making theme
Really liked it!
September 15, 2025 at 5:05 AM
Another lunchtime game of Up or Down
The short game just fit into our lunch block
Q got a great 5X multiplier elevator and cruised to victory
I was the worst of the 4 of us
Enjoying this one after a couple plays, though
@capstone-games.com
September 12, 2025 at 7:35 PM
We got a chance to try out Up or Down at work today
You play a card to the middle circle of cards and draft one of the adjacent ones to your tableau, trying to go in ascending or descending order
Sounds simple, but still has tough choices
@capstone-games.com
September 11, 2025 at 8:30 PM
A bunch of great looking review games arrived yesterday
So much to dig into!
Benji is stoked to play Slay the Spire
And I'm excited for new games from Holek and Suchy
September 11, 2025 at 5:13 PM
We played Kinfire Council by @kevinwilson42.bsky.social last night
It's a thematic worker placement game with some semi co-op mechanics
We all really enjoyed it
Lots of tough decisions and twists on the premise of worker placement
