I also spent a horrible amount of time on To Arms!, one of the first mobile-only deckbuilders after Dream Quest (Play Store says it debuted in 2015, sheesh). And that game was just a grid of static pixel people.

You know those jokes about white people being so bad with food they make chicken salad with RAISINS in it?

I bought dried cranberries to eat with yogurt.

There's a chicken salad recipe on the back. It's called "Farmer's Chicken Salad."

Farmers, who famously eat chicken with dried cranberries.

And I think my answer is the Adventures of Lolo series. If you've played any mobile puzzle games, like Monument Valley or The Room, then I think you'd look at the Lolo games like a new series of escape-the-room puzzle games. I don't know any games that exactly do what Lolo does.

This thread made me go searching through the threepanelsoul archives, and I forgot about this 2014 strip that exactly murdered us all

At the start of 2025, I made a huge playlist of albums from 2024 that I wanted to check out.

I was getting ready to say that my favorite album of 2024... was an album from 2014. The 10-year-anniversary edition showed up in my feed as a 2024 album, and I assumed it was some amazing new hyperpop.

I was sitting in the truck, eating yogurt and cereal, and this little monster wouldn't leave me alone. I gave in to terrorism and gave it a piece of cereal to leave me alone.

Google Play sent me a $20 coupon off a purchase of at least $99.

I can't think of any app or game that costs $99 alone, so I assume that's only for $99 of gacha currency.

This seems... exploitative.

This doctor's office sign-in page asked for my preferred language, and it apparently pulls its language list from Wikipedia

Should probably have a hazmat placard on it

It's hard to describe the "real" experience of playing FF1 because I had the Nintendo Power guide, and I was obsessed with just looking up the stats for each item and reading each map instead of exploring and trying things out on my own. Like you'd need a full guide for such a primitive RPG.

Saw this on reddit and thought yeah I have always wondered why I enjoy really obnoxious Japanese hardcore techno

Is this the same ad agency that created The Cornflake Homonculus?

On the one hand, Facebook seems like an abusive boyfriend with how angry it gets that I'm not there.

But then I log back in, and 121 of those notifications are just "Person you follow posted to day!" like the most desperate incel begging you to look at them.

@michaelhobbes.bsky.social This is all your fault. Why haven't you been bridging the gap between principle and policy to train impressionable young liberals into an ideological cadre???
August 21, 2025 at 8:20 PM
The answer: liberals don't mentor new talent because they assume that the universities are all liberal and do all of the work for them!

Hello @vox.com do you guys like EGGS because I'm going to make sure that you GET SOME

If I click this link and it doesn't say "because the billionaries with enough money to start cultural revolutions as a hobby don't vote for liberals" then I'm going to pay someone to drive past the Vox offices and throw eggs at them.

In the Arizona desert, went to a hole-in-the-wall Indian cafe beside the truck stop. Big plate of eggplant, lentils, rice, and bread for $15. Couldn't even finish it all. Nice to get a big truck stop meal that wasn't just fried food.

And then looked up the Gmaps reviews, saw this fun exchange.
