I thought The Mawson Arms/Fox and Hounds was okay, but nothing special other than the fact it had two names.

Though after years of saying it was going to be converted to housing, I noticed recent a sign went up saying it was available for lease as a pub, so may come back from the dead yet.

Feeling sad that we never got to go to the Mawson Arms. And it looks as if The Duke of York nearby has also closed. We did a crawl round here as part of our research into 20th Century Pub.

Used to watch all Welsh Rugby internationals there. Great atmosphere and you'd accidentally come across half a dozen fans watching a Greek second division match in a faraway corner.
