like my colleagues, I’ve had to give evidence at some international meetings where the politics was so basic it was grim, but this does feel like a whole new level of obstructionism. I shouldn’t be surprised given how the UN has struggled to bring an end to war/events in Gaza, Sudan or Ukraine but…
