Public sector public affairs bod, charity trustee and minirugby coach. I post about economic development, social mobility, rugby, TTRPGs and anything else that comes to mind.
Never mind PR, it would leave them open to legal challenge that could bankrupt them. The anti-trans lobby has backers with deep pockets.

My Spotify has a similar issue. At one point I was (allegedly) in the top 5% of Taylor Swift fans.............

Yikes, that took a bit of a turn!

I was being generous. No need to kick a man when he is down! (Or, given the SRU blinkers, maybe there is!)

I am not usually in the Toony Out camp but he doesn't appear to be doing anything to fix our inability to close out games. No point in playing brilliant rugby but only for 60 mins.

As a coach (albeit only for an U10 side) I completely agree. You look at what is going wrong and you do something to fix it, its the basic task of the role!

I did it with 137 applications for a locally engaged role in Kabul. It was an old school civil service application form with several free text boxes (this was pre-chatGPT of course, so they were quite varied!).

The inevitable consequence of which is a caste society (which is where we were headed before. This has just accelerated it)

It will wind up with social capital being the only route to a job and our slow descent into a caste society will be complete.

I also suspect it is a bit easier when you are dealing with well defined professions where there are clearly delineated skills that you can check for. Applying for roles in public affairs/policy tend to be a bit hazier and hiring managers default to "x experience in y role?" or "who do I know?".

Depends what is meant by "filter by CV details" of course. I also found out that recruiters were filtering by job titles (which immediately put public sector people, with job titles written by a committee, at a disadvantage because they didn't fit the filter list).

When I have been in the position of hiring staff, I read all of them too (including that time in Afghanistan when 137 people applied for one post!) but my experience tells me that many hiring managers are using software to winnow down the pile.
