As much as I’ve been incredibly critical privately about the manner of Chelsea’s spending (and especially the summer window), I can’t help but be very excited to see Estevao play in England. Fingers tightly crossed he doesn’t suffer for all these minutes he’s played this year down the line.

Ryan Kavuma-McQueen is a shooter, pass it on.

(Josh is possibly the best U20 cb talent on the planet. I’m in the camp of not going into the market and trusting what you have unless you’re signing a clear starter when everyone’s fit - otherwise, might be 3-5 points worse off this year, but if Josh scales development then that would be worth it)

I didn’t watch the game, but simply can’t get enough of watching Estevao and Palmer play together. I must have watched the same comp 3 or 4 times.

I want Sesko to go to Manchester United as I think it could well be a total rerun of all their business over the last ten years, and that makes me happy.

I want Sesko to go to Newcastle as I don’t think Manchester United will spend on Jackson who I want Chelsea to keep.

I don’t know what I want.

Perhaps a little controversial - but I am totally content with Chelsea not betting the bank on Isak (so long as they don’t sell Jackson).

I’m happy with Chelsea’s window so far, especially if JP continues as he has begun. But I fear I will always be watching Ekitike thinking ‘what if’.

Winners win
It feels incredibly Chelsea coded to qualify for this tournament before it existed, under different ownership, with precisely one player in that squad still around, to then win it

It also feels BlueCoded to lose to Palmeiras just as the draw opens up, as a player we own scores the winner against us

Especially when Andrey has so recently proved that he’s good enough.

What we might see instead is a not quite fit James play midfield for 60 minutes and 90 mins of Gusto?

It feels like we’re approaching Ekitike day, where we hear if that’s happening or not. Maybe today, maybe tomorrow. I hope that is a good day when it comes.

One Osimhen or Ekitiké please. I’ll buy the shirt, support the manager, praise the SDs, whatever you want. But one Osimhen or Ekitiké please.

After six consecutive seasons in the top 60k of FPL, I cracked top 10k for the first time ever. Finished 5,740. Incredibly happy.

That Yamal cross was absolutely outrageous. One should not be able to create a chance of that quality from that position.

Having your six FPL differentials all go get 7-10 points is a good way of taking chunks out of your rank

Changes needed to hold this lead.

There has been so much good today. If Jackson had played well so far, we’d be out of sight.

I would like Kiano Dyer and Ryan K-M minutes in the second leg and I won’t compromise on that.
May 1, 2025 at 9:14 PM
That is similar to the Chelsea side I would have selected. I sincerely hope we see Walsh and Mheuka over Palmer and Jackson after a comfortable first half.

Merino instead of Trossard was heartbreaking twice. We will never know what AWB would have done to Southampton. I will not be apologising for my grief.

There has been precious little to suggest that Reece James’ precious minutes are well served in this position in the UECL, rather than whipping in a dangerous ball from an advanced position (that he’s found for a single moment in this fixture) in the premier league

It’s a good thing finals are one leg, with Maresca’s record playing managers for the second time.
April 17, 2025 at 7:17 PM
Tosin wandering into central midfield without the ball was not good. Jorgensen’s keeping was not good.
