As I wrap up November at 227 books read on the year, instead of a traditional top reads list, I'd like to take each day of December to highlight one of my favorites that I read on the way to 200 and beyond. I'll be focusing on books and series I read for the first time in 2025.

Finished my third reread and rewatch of Bloom Into You. There's nothing I can say about it that hasn't already been said, but this is a once-in-a-generation series the likes of which we may never see again. Moon on a Rainy Night may be my favorite yuri, but Bloom Into You will always be unrivaled.

Out of all the scenes we missed out on by not getting a second season of Bloom Into You, this one stings the most. Yuu and Touko's VAs would've put on a clinic with these lines, and the way the anime often shifts into first-person POV between the characters would've been put to perfect use here.
