Utterly bizarre game with a fan translation that captures its humour well. Tone is similar to Earthbound & it definitely feels like a prequel to Link's Awakening in mechanics. The platforming is well designed but the backtracking gets a tad tiring.

A cookie to anyone who can name the Japan only game.

Short & interesting. Doesn't quite stick the landing for me in terms of its overall messaging & themes and the gameplay is fairly one note. The music & art direction is beautiful, but I felt my eyes hurting from how white/dark it gets. Definitely adjust your settings!

Carried hard by its aesthetic and charm. The first 2 hours are rough & it never quite shakes that dated feeling. But the stealth mechanics have fared way better than many games of this era. Curious to see how a modern remake would tackle its aged issues.

Worth the wait! Hornet is so much fun, both to witness and play as, especially as you unlock her wealth of movement options. Amazing boss fights and brilliant level design. For as long as it is in contrast to its predecessor, it never felt like padding to me.
