Well, the country-wide road trip is coming up in about a month, guess I’ll be posting more tiki here as I go, doing some localish tiki, then heading to Vegas… watch this space :)

Yesterday I drove extremely out of the way to take the Tillamook Cheese Factory tour and buy some forbidden cheeses

Last Sunday i went to The Shameful Tiki Room in Vancouver with @hammytoy.bsky.social was a good time! (Food was great so was the one cocktail i had)

Navy Strength unfortunately has a Halloween pop-up bar going on right now, though you can still get a mai tai

Their tropical menu isn't available during the pop-up, that said, they do host Beach um Berry's Sippin' Santa A non alcoholic drink i got while waiting for friends, was good, don't recall the name The pop-up menu "the nightmare on Wall Street"

Second stop was #tiki destination Hale Pele, also in Portland, many furry stickers on the back of the sign out front.

Yesterday afternoon first stop was at The Alibi in Portland #tiki

I did like the mai tai glasses a lot at The Monkey's Paw #tiki

Stopped by The Monkey's Paw in Springfield, OR last night, the decor was spread out, but the drinks were inexpensive for a tiki bar. #tiki
The bar. Lit up orange and green A couple tiki wall hangings A tiki corner of the bar... The bar itself it rather open, has a pool table and is separately decorated... Go for the menu not the decorations, food trucks outside deliver food to the table A little tiki fountain in another corner of the bar

"I dunno Eggs." Ginger sighs as she attempts to return to being a completely self-reliant bear. She hasn't taken the free clothes off yet however, which might be interfering with her fishing skills. "They're so slippery." Eggs assumes a never-give-up kind of position and like his name, he eggs her on. "You can do this! Focus! Look for the right moment!" Hmph-- "Focus..." Ginger assumes a readied position and swipes under the water for a salmon. She dunks herself under the stream and all Eggs can see for a moment is her bootyshorted butt poking up from the bottom of the small waterfall. Splash! She pulls up suddenly with a fish in her grasp. Eggs throws his arms up in victory with a YES! "I did it Eggs! I did it!" she holds it up but forgets that the fish are still slippery, and it wiggles out of her hands back into the water to her shock."Oh no!" "That's okay--" insists Eggs. "There's plenty more." But it was easy to say when fishing naturally for man involved using tools.
