Caracas has a densely packed population of 3,242,000. As someone born in the United States, it is disturbing to see how this is being reported with the same passive language as the genocide in Gaza. Families woke in the earliest hours of the morning to the sound of bombs. Nothing can change that.

One of the fun parts of being a writer (at least, for me) is getting to read books through the lens of a reader and as a perpetual student. These are some of my favorite books that I learned from this year and what I learned from them!
