122 years ago, on the 14th of December 1903, the Wright brothers attempt to fly their 'Wright Flyer' for the first time. The attempt failed as Wilbur Wright pulled up too sharply. Repairs took three days and the first successful motorized flight took place three days later. #otd #history 🗃️

Had a lovely time out at the Christmas party. 😛 Did get lots of compliments for my dress and many colleagues also sparkled.

Have I emailed the directors at 0745 to say thank you for a lovely time? Yes I have. 😆😆😆 Considering haven't been out for a long time amazed I'm awake and mainly functioning.

Yay it is 23:20 and it seems that the neighbour has finished hammering in the Christmas lights that has been ongoing for the last two hours.

No point saying anything because they aren't the kind of people who understand what is acceptable behaviour. And likely to make things worse if I tried.

The algorithms are making it a lot harder to spread the word about these online talks. Although numbers are still reasonable, it would be a great help if folk were able to give the 30 December event a quick share 🙂

Following on from yesterday's post find that Felix's brother Frederick BOND was baptised on 11-Dec-1831. So the family have presumably stayed put for these five years.

So either Santa sped past my house with no fanfare (we are in Storm Bram but think the doorbell would have picked up a flashing sleigh), is still going and running very late (tough I'm in bed now) or hasn't come past despite being on the route shown. Bit slack on the notification front. 😞

Sadly the ninth and final child of 2x Great Grandparents Daniel HOLMANS and Jane did not live very long and died on 08-Dec-1907 in Capel-le-Ferne, Kent, England.

Born on 13-Nov-1907 and baptised on 22-Nov-1907 so looks like he only lived for about 25 days. Records obtained from Ancestry.
