After three years of applying, she's finally tomato-meter approved @rottentomatoes.com 🍅

To celebrate, I'm writing a review for one of my favourite films of the year so far, and interviewing one of my favourite directors while prepping to speak to two of my faves next week. I love movies.

My contributor copy of @secondsightfilms.bsky.social release of Talk To Me is here and it is gorgeous. One of the pieces of writing I'm most proud of is in this essay booklet and I can't wait for people to read it

Nine years ago, Homer came to live in his forever home. From a seven month old pup who had never lived inside a house to a pampered old man that does nothing but sleep on the sofa. I love you, baby number one 💚

I didn't think I could appreciate @mikeflanaganfilm.com work more than I already do, but listening to him break down his creative process, and some of my favourite titles, has me so inspired. A fantastic day at @sxsw.com London

Plenty of new phobias unlocked with Final Destination: Bloodlines. Fear runs in the family in this frenzied, blood-curdling, laugh-out-loud instalment in the franchise that has been haunting nightmares for 25 years. I had a blast and a few minor breakdowns. Full review coming soon.

Thrilled to announce that I'm taking over the Horror Haunt column at Metro, a space to talk about genre cinema from indie gems to forgotten classics. I've loved reading all of Alicia's pieces, and I'm so chuffed I've been trusted to make it my own

What better way to mark the first edition of @filmhounds.co.uk since becoming one of the deputy editors, than with a cover feature? Grab the latest issue for my exclusive chat with Oscar-winning Anora director Sean Baker, and while you're at it, read my Robert Eggers chat too

Nine years ago, after writing as a volunteer or one-off commissions for a number of years, I got my first ever paid news room job. It quite literally changed my life and taught me so, so much about writing and journalism. Long live local news.

Seven years ago the two sides of my personality were battling for space as I got to write features about Death Becomes Her and Bojack Horseman

Crash at 10am was a wild experience, especially sitting so close to David Cronenberg and Howard Shore for their intro it felt like a friendly pub chat

A weekend in London with my Ghouls for a sleepover and seeing Crash on the big screen with David bloody Cronenberg in attendance 😍 perfect way to unwind before builders and decorators tear my house apart

What an honour it is to feature in @starburst.bsky.social latest edition, a tribute to David Lynch.

In it, you can find my exclusive interview with Christopher Landon for his latest film, Drop, and in the review section, talking about the new Oddity blue

Eight years ago, after grafting away at my first newsroom job , I finally convinced the magazine supplement to let me have my own column talking about films and TV. I've come a long way since then, but I'm still so proud of Big Night In

RIP David Lynch, one of the greatest to ever do it. Watching Twin Peaks changed my appreciation of TV and film forever, and every work of his since had enhanced that passion. Such a gargantuan loss to the world of cinema

I can’t close out 2024 without shouting about my chat with Leigh Whannell all about Wolf Man for Starburst Magazine, which also got a little mention on the cover /35

And the bumper amount of chats I had with the Terrifier cast and crew for Filmhounds. My review stars and quotes also crept into the marketing for the film, which felt absolutely wild /34
