Plenty of new phobias unlocked with Final Destination: Bloodlines. Fear runs in the family in this frenzied, blood-curdling, laugh-out-loud instalment in the franchise that has been haunting nightmares for 25 years. I had a blast and a few minor breakdowns. Full review coming soon.

Nine years ago, after writing as a volunteer or one-off commissions for a number of years, I got my first ever paid news room job. It quite literally changed my life and taught me so, so much about writing and journalism. Long live local news.

RIP David Lynch, one of the greatest to ever do it. Watching Twin Peaks changed my appreciation of TV and film forever, and every work of his since had enhanced that passion. Such a gargantuan loss to the world of cinema
