Thank you for the examples! I did some research (I know, I haven't played any of those games) and I see what you mean. It's also common in horror games, especially from the ps1 era. I'm gonna roll with this cause it's gonna be very helpful storywise and for gameplay reasons.

Okay, maybe not all games cause I don't remember it happening in Silent Hill xD
But it happened for example in Medal of Honor and LSD Dream Emulator.

It's supposed to! This used to happen in ps1 games because I suppose the culling that was happening behind the camera, would happen too close to the camera, so you could see some of the vertices disappear sometimes.
