I believe in my crack theory that they planned to give Viva way more to do in an earlier draft of the script and wrote "It Takes Two" for it, then they heavily trimmed down her involvement in the final plot but liked the song so much they shoved her in anyways.

I have no proof but I have no doubts.

in the spirit of Mario Kart, it felt like whether I got a track I wanted to race on or got stuck on the highway was equally up to randomness and fate, and as a gambler at heart, those are the thrills I live for.

Again, though: this is only my first impressions. Further testing is required.

Obviously, I still think the optimal solution would be to have 3 separate lobbies--3-Lap only, Intermissions only, and mixed--but that's why I prefaced it by saying it's a good ratio if they're still this stuckup that they HAVE to do it this way. I got about a 50/50 ratio of 3-Laps to Highways! Which kind showed up in rotation felt more balanced, and when it came to choosing, it felt like a lot of the weight of the choice was finally put back into the actual voting, rather than the game giving us the illusion of choice.

that depression/self-doubt coupled with the fact this current part of the current arc is so difficult to write for me almost burned me out entirely, but ironically, now that i have a lot more on my plate i can consider going back to working on lgfh as the passion project its always been mesnt to be

dont tell anybody but i was feeling very de-motivated and like i wasnt rlly going anywhere which really made me sad but lately ive started to really really miss the characters and yearning to finally tackle the parts of the story i really wanna put out
