Now, Mama Shears and I are inside recovering. I'm brewing up some decaf tea and hunting for soup. Mom's resting her back. Today was a lot. #HomeAdventures.

Said neighbor's dog was super excited to see me. I threw snow balls and they went digging to find it. It was adorable. #HomeAdventures

She was running the blower, I was on detail duty with the metal shovel. I am able to get down to the pavement and do that for the street so our cars can move safely. Once that was done, I helped a neighbor. #HomeAdventures

No joke, that's a real thing. I found out about it after repainting the desk I found on the side of the road.

I advocated for it so we can have the option to hang up string lights for certain holidays outside of Christmas/Yule season. Or some kind of decoration. #HomeAdventures.

For the last few years, we've had to contend with the holiday garland fall down randomly and just leave it off once it falls. So this year, I've talked with Mama Shears on getting the Good hardware to hang everything up. #HomeAdventures

We've historically used thumbtacks to hold things up. Then command strips/hooks came onto the scene and was/is a game changer. We still use it for a lot of decorations.

But even the strongest command hook is no match for a garland. #HomeAdventures

For anyone curious, I used HandBrake. It's open source and there was a tutorial on how to compress the video from 11 gigs to 4.something without breaking my computer or my patience. The fact you can make presents is pretty cool.

Took me a decade before I could play a lot of games I have. I anticipate that it'll be another five before I can play games that are played by friends now.

I call it prudent planning.
