.... and I find it very odd that anyone who who try wants a regenerated, vibrant and confident UK would choose the Tories over Labour, based on the last 13 years.

This not about lying. It is about being smart and strategic and showing a willingness to be pragmatic. This is what you have to do to win power in the UK. I wish it didn't have to be this way, but it is......

The rules change after the election. Up until then I think it naive to take the political moral high ground. Let's not kid ourselves. This is a dirty fight against power which has no interest in changing the status quo!

It is a difficult balance to strike. He needs to get elected first, and part of that will involve neutering the media sharks and putting forward "vanilla" policies which are conservative with a small "c". I am sure a surge of excitement will come after the election after the nasty Tories are gone!
