Man, the ST version of FSII was amazing to me - I played hundreds of hours of that, surely.

I was playing FSII and FSI and Remote Control FS on the Apple //c back in '84. I never really had an A8 back then. Had a $25 bin 400 from Children's Palace as they were closing down, but didn't do much with it at all.

Yeah, I remember seeing the XEGS and a Coleco Adam on display at the mall in a Ritz camera shop. That's the only place I ever saw either of those machines set up and running. I was shocked to see it came with FSII. I remember being surprised that they could fit that game on a cartridge, as well.

I did actually love FSII as a 12 year old kid, but yea - I was a special child.

I had to build a 486-class system around the GUS to find it an ISA slot. :-)

I have one of these - recently acquired. I found being plugged directly into the DMA port (and those aren't round pins) was causing me instability issues - it jiggled as I swapped cards, reset. I ended up buying a UltraSatan cable and soldering on the US jack and using it that way - no more issues.
