This, also. It enables people to take a job that is very much a 'stop gap.' If it turns out as bad, or worse than first impressions, you're not trapped. You can walk away, bide your time, find something better. There are so many reasons to do it, but the system hates the idea of economic freedom.

More likely to be a puppet president, one chosen from the right wing opposition. A bullshit Nobel Prize winner who dedicated the award to Trump, perhaps? Or that other one, the spivvy little shit who claimed he was targeted for assassination? Regardless of who, they'll have one job: free the oil.

Well, it doesn't directly, but it's a possible contributing factor to the apparent apathy that seems to be at the core of this issue.

Although Iran is pertinent to that conversation. In order to control Iraqi oil fields, you have to control the border region(land and air) with Iran. It's not optional. It's a necessity. Same with Venezuela. You'll unavoidably piss off the bordering nations, in both South and Central America.

Kind of a symbolic image of the mess that was/still partly is, my mind. And, I really like trees. 😉

'...just their house or room number, no street name or dorm...' I'm taking a bit of a leap here, but could that possibly be a sign of resigned compliance? As in: "They already know everything about us, so they can just pull it up on the screen." 🤔

Sadly, very true.

Yep, even when it makes them look like ignorant fools. They jump to the wrong conclusions about people, in a vain attempt to appear worthy and noble, 'one of the good guys' who never, ever says anything offensive. Also known as incredibly dull people, incapable of thinking beyond the surface.

2/2 There's no denying my tattoos are some dark imagery, but I'd challenge anyone to find anything remotely racist in them. A spooky, twisted, leafless tree with skulls hanging from the branches, and gravestones at the roots. It symbolises aspects of my mind, my history of mental health issues.

I did. I wish I hadn't. Reading through, it felt like one of the worst meetings I ever attended, many years ago. It was the same meeting where a pretentious little fart called me a racist, on the basis that I, quote: "Am a white man with a shaved head, a goatee and 'disturbing tattoos' ." 1/2

If you claim to stand for the working class, oppressed minorities, the downtrodden and deserted, you are, by definition, a socialist party. This is not a matter for debate, or even discussion. The parameters are a different matter: Socialist, Communist, Anarchist, but the basic ethos is clear. FFS!!
