People see it clearly ICE doesn’t make communities safer it makes them quieter, more isolated, and more dangerous. Neighbors resent being turned into targets and refuse to accept a system that thrives on intimidation and silence.

But in reality, trans migrants who need urgent assistance such as safe housing, legal protection, healthcare, or help escaping violence are frequently ignored, placed on endless waiting lists, or passed from one organization to another with no real solution.

Discrimination isn’t caused by individual “bad attitudes” alone it’s built into systems. Prevention means changing policies, culture, and power, not just asking people to “be nicer.”

Invest in community based safety, not just policing.
Mutual aid, crisis response teams, and peer support save lives. Build networks where people are watched out for, not surveilled.
