I have read, that cat's started to stay near to humans, because we kept our grain harvest in storage during winter. That attracted mice and rats, which then attracted cats. The cats got domisticated this way, and that seems plausible to me.

But, why are they doing it? My cat do the same, most often if I take a nap mid day on the couch.. She jumps up, gives my stomach massage for 3-5 minuttes, until she curls up and naps with me? Why?

I do honestly, as European, think that Greenland should also go for closer ties with Canada. Greenland and the eastern canadian provinces are close, also have historical ties and Inuit natives.
It would be a great advantage for all, Canada, Denmark, EU and
by a large scale, Greenland itself.
