@timmiller.bsky.social like coaching youth basketball. Better the player goes for the steal completely than to be caught in no man’s land and gives up a basket anyway.

@timmiller.bsky.social agree on impeachment.Members of Congress should simply do their jobs, and if that means impeaching a president or a cabinet member,so be it. At least they could look in the mirror instead of shamefacedly walking around trying to figure the next way they go along to get along.

@charlesfinch.bsky.social The hits just keep on coming. As usual, the crime in question kept me interested, but I really liked getting to know a small town in England and its inhabitants.

@charlesfinch.bsky.social Just finished The Hidden City. Lenox is back in London solving a new case, and it is reassuring to see Graham, McConnell, and Dallington at his side. I love this series and recommend it to any crime/mystery/detective fan.

@charlesfinch.bsky.social just finished the fourth in the series and my eighth overall. Charles Lenox and his friends are so easy to root for, and the mysteries/riddles continue to be challenging. At the same time Charles wrestles with class differences and Parliament’s priorities.

@charlesfinch.bsky.social just finished third Charles Lenox novel and am starting A Stranger in Mayfair. Charles is easy to root for and the snippets of history and British vocabulary are a plus. To speak plainly, I love this series.

@charlesfinch.bsky.social I’m a big mystery fan and retired English teacher, and I’m now reading the third prequel to your Charles Lenox mystery series. Just so you know, I love the books, and Mr. Lenox is really easy to root for. Keep them coming.

@lauralippman.bsky.social love the Wonder Pets allusion in Hush Hush. I’m an older dad who loved the Rat Pack episode. Can also identify with home with “always something somewhere that needed to be put away. “

Happy Labor Day from me and Licorice.I am grateful for having spent my teaching career as a member of a union. So many Americans have pensions and excellent healthcare because of unions—the middle class is a consequence of the union movement. The Gilded Age is only fun as a tv show, not real life

@charlesfinch.bsky.social big mystery/crime fan—I loved An Extravagant Death, my first Lenox novel, but certainly not my last. Loved the NYC and Newport settings, and it is easy to root for Charles Lenox. Made dizzying college visits with my son more enjoyable.

@stephenking.bsky.social another great crime novel, it’s very easy to root for Holly, and the current issues broached ring true.
