I left with more questions than answers. Pain? Cramp? He was getting legs massaged. Emotional? They were speaking French, which I don’t speak. I have great respect for his race. Pictures of him starting 3rd leg looked a lot different.

While I am flattered, as the photographer, I fear that there is far more to this than is apparent.

Winds are starting to pick up here, and we have a high wind advisory today. Living near the park, it’s not uncommon to hear huge trees blow over. I can hear the wind up the mountain starting to think about roaring a little.

The road at sunrise is more dangerous than being lost in the woods. People get killed every year on that highway. That might change as the wind is picking up a bit this morning, and we have high wind warnings today.

Even local with ATVs get lost and never come back around here. I once had to pull out the gps 1/2 from my house during the day so I could get home.

10 or 15 miles north two people lost their lives. Numerous houses, trailers etc were severely damaged or destroyed.

I wonder if the tornado that radar showed going through the middle of the park last month will be an issue?

As a local, that explains the low slow flying expensive non-military helicopter flying around the southeastern edge of the park.

Andy Ogles should be prosecuted for campaign finance violations. Some strange stuff regarding a loan “he gave his campaign” when his financial disclosures said he didn’t have that much money.

Ogles did not cooperate with preliminary inquiries, which found he may have intentionally misrepresented the amount of money loaned to his campaign.
