Yowane Haku is another one that got the Neru treatment, but she was personified out of frustration, when a vocaloid producer just couldn't make Miku sound right and made her singing sound like she was out of tune or drunk, which is why she's portrayed to be a drunk.

VOCALOID 2 engine released in 2007, with it's first JP voice being our wonderful Hatsune Miku!! Vocaloid 2 presented us with a friendly UI, better tuning for JP phonemes, and clean synths right out the gate. Yamaha made the engine but Crypton took on all the costs developing and marketing her.
