I released 0.31.0 of my rust math crate glam a few days ago. There were some minor breaking changes fixing some inconsistencies. Also a lot of additions based on matrix and vector extensions that glam users like macaw, rust-gpu-shadertoys, glam_matrix_extras and, glamx had added that I felt were […]

A short bit of footage from the bike ride down Tākaka Hill I did a week ago. The whole ride was a bit over 2 hours from the main road down Cannan Road and then The Rameka down the hill, not counting from the end of the trail to Tākaka since Google sent me in the wrong direction. Beautiful bit of […]

Got tickets to see Leftfield next year. Been a fan since 1995 but never seen them live, pretty hyped! Some friends were going to come as well but they 3 days later it was sold out so they missed out.

28 years later contained a lot more zombie dick than I was expecting. I was not expecting any tbh. Enjoyed the film, it seemed quite low key, grim but had some humour and interesting characters.

Yesterday I told my boss that I'm not going to be applying for any funding to stay in Europe (for multiple reasons. Postdocing has to end eventually, and living on the other side of the planet from my friends, family, and the Australian bush isn't working for me). He said, 'Makes sense you want […]

Every time I open LinkedIn it's an absolute bloodbath with layoffs, studio closures and people out of work. It feels like this global games industry downturn has been going on for 3 years now? Looking at what's going on with Ubisoft it seems like we've still not out the other side yet.

I haven't encountered this with my parents or in-laws but I think none of them really use social media much.
