It should be at least a foot or two off the ground, it's not quite a floor dragger. I would have made it dragon on the floor if not for transport, wear and cleanliness

This would have made it significantly easier for me to add the scales, since I wouldn't have to spend 5-10 minutes parting the fur in a straight line to avoid catching the fur as I sew.

I also thought of an alternative where I could cut a slit through the backing, slip the piece through then sew everything together.

However, I was nervous about the thickness of the stitch adding up with every scale and shortening the tail piece to the point where it wouldn't fit anymore.

Thankfully they're relatively easy to spot for now, at least the ones on Etsy with the generated images.

However they're quickly drowning our the real ones, and who knows how long it'll be before the AI images are undistinguishable from real ones.

I already had one but it was awful. The mechanism that made it move side to side was broken so it couldn't do a zigzag stitch, the light bulb was flickering, the thread tension was all off and it would smell like burnt oil whenever I used it
