Music, architecture, photography, design etc. Sharing my concert photos taken in Birmingham in 81/82 (hence the name). Plus other stuff I've hoarded
Ageing gracefully. Worn steps at the Fondazione Collegio Artistico Venturoli which was founded in 1822 following the death of the Bolognese architect Angelo Venturoli, who left his legacy to provide a residence and teaching space for young artists (THREAD)

The venue is currently hosting exhibitions as part of the Fondazione MAST's excellent Foto/Industria biennial show of photography on industry and work, which I'll share separately. These pics are of the magical building and its garden (THREAD)

The Hurrah film is definitely worth catching if you can. They sound and look fantastic. I think it may be made available for streaming here after it's been shown in Manchester tomorrow

Ewart Williams was originally from Guyana, moved to Canada in 1969 and is still performing.
Ian Levine played Ewart's one and only single on this Northern Soul podcast, saying it was "as rare as hens teeth, as rare as they come"

Here's Tribeca, the shorter of the two films shown last night. It was shot by Michael Shamburg in the Hudson Street loft where the band were staying, plus there are snippets of the wonderful Hurrah performance which was shown in full in Merrill's video

👍🏻 The print show at Carl Freedman is worth catching too, although that’s only on until 4 Jan. Not sure what they have on after that, but it’s a nice space to check out if you don’t already know it
