It's so cold out this is the first time I have seen the pond frozen. While the geese don't mind, the ducks are all huddled in a small spot of open water.

Here you are Oksii. I can only tell you how sorry I am about what my president is doing to your country. How evil can a person be? 😢

On my way to work today I saw this and laughed pretty hard 🤣

My dog is considering a career in plumbing.

He stole it from me as soon as I got it out of the package.

Absolutely incredible photo of what I like to call a Technicolor Roadrunner, aka Rufous vented Ground Cuckoo.

It's definitely one of the top birds Id love to see one day.

I don't think the photographer is on BS sadly.

Some shots I finally got around to editing from #Arizona. I took them during golden hour right up to sunset in the mountains looking over #Tucson.

I'm new to landscapes but if I lived there I'd shoot them more often.

Bluesky is full of just horrible things right now.

As a timeline cleanser here is a beautiful butterfly I saw on Instagram.

I think we have a few Walker's Shortbread fans here. I highly recommend the mince pies. Wow.

I love collecting wild American persimmons in the fall. The trick is to wait until after one or two frosts because that makes them sweet instead of astringent.

And yes, you are supposed to pick the ones that aren't bright orange but are turning gray. That's how you know they are ready to eat.

A highly sought after invasive but naturalized species in Florida, the Grey-headed Swamphen is a beauty. I've only seen it twice ever, but on my trip earlier this month I saw seven at Lake Apopka Wildlife Drive, a great place to see this species. #birds #greyheadedswamphens

Limpkin looking for snails among the reeds at Newton Park, Winter Garden, FL. This is definitely my favorite spot to find these birds northwest of Orlando.

During the #NoKings protest in Charlottesville a black pickup truck purposely sped by spewing unfiltered black exhaust all over protesters making my 12yo son gag. When I complained about this on IG this loathsome individual cheered the driver on.

I told her she was evil for wishing harm on a kid. 🤬

I was reasonably happy with this shot but I decided to be patient and ended up capturing the bird preening and then hunting and catching a snail.
