A walk around ditton brook , halebank
A pair of shoveler were a new tick for me here .
Gadwall, little egret also on the flooded field . Lots of teal on the brook .
Fieldfare, redwings, mistle thrush ,2 parakeet , 2 stonechat and a big mixed finch flock.

Often heard but I rarely see one …todays #patchbirding highlight …I watched a water rail creeping along and then it sat preening for a good 5 minutes in the sunshine 😍

Great views of a grey seal fishing close in on the River Mersey at Oglet this afternoon ..it caught 2 fish while I was there .

it was joined by a rock pipit and a few meadow pipits and 2 pied wags over the high tide and then disappeared into Garston docks .

I bought this buddleia candy Lila sweetheart and would highly recommend , the amount of bees and hoverflys visiting it is amazing , it’s also attracted red admiral, painted lady,humming bird hawk moth 💜
