It is a word but I doubt that you mean: a long flower stalk coming directly from a root.
Or the basal segment of an insect's antenna, especially when it is enlarged and lengthened (as in a weevil).

I frequent a coffee shop in my neighbourhood in Taipei. It’s like a Taiwanese version of Starbucks without the bad. While my Mandarin isn’t great I can easily order a hot coffee with sugar but today the dude wanted to know what % of sugar I wanted. It freaked me out. I have no idea in any language.
