Sports injury epidemiologist, esp. NFL; long-suffering Dolphins fan, but I repeat myself
Also I do not think most employers at this point do (or should) rely that much on someone's GPA as an assessment of what they can do. So who cares? It's pretty much worthless especially on the high end.

Ask them for a portfolio or give them a real world test of what you want them to do in your job.

I do think it's a fair and interesting question to ask if the point of higher education - at least insanely expensive private higher ed - is (or should be) to purely impart knowledge, serve as a signal of capabilities to first employers, both or something else. I'm lucky that those align for me.

I teach a VERY superficial intro to linear regression for my statistical critical thinking class, and this is always something I fit in. And it absolutely *blows* the students' minds. Every one of them who had any exposure to linear regression before is completely shocked!

Dave - happy to talk to you about this, but historically that's not actually that unusual. It's not a lot. What dataset are you using?

A quick look back at some data I had pulled from PFR from 2008-2016 for a paper on CTE prevalence shows mean of 11 and 31 deaths/year <48 and <65, respectively.

We focused on online voting because previously you had to show up live or on Zoom from 7-9pm on a Monday to wait for an unpredictable unscheduled 90-second period when you could vote.

Have kids at bedtime? No vote. Evening shift at the hospital? Can't vote. Only retirees voted, basically. So bad.

Brother I spent 18 months as co-chair of my neighborhood organization's bylaws revision committee so we could install online voting so we could defeat a historic district.

I made so many enemies. It was so miserable. And so worth it when we won.

Home Alone 2, but not Home Alone? What MAGA nonsense is this?

Dolphins call their last TO with 9:13 left in the half.

They then jump offsides on fourth down to give the Bills a first down.

Another competent Miami drive, but the Gods did see fit to reward us with a missed PAT!

I heard the same thing from a number of my (AFAICT) middle of the road Dems/Kemp R neighbors. My question is did that actually change anyone's vote? You can complain about something, but whether it determined your vote is a different thing.
