“Under liberty, and justice for all” should mean what it says.
He’s such a garbage human being.

Interesting note: one of #Maduro’s signature policies was dealing with crime by sending troops into Venezuela’s cities.

Marco Rubio is reportedly saying Maduro will stand trial in US courts.

Which means it’s now the US administration’s position that US courts can hold foreign presidents, but not the US president, accountable for crimes.

While I understand & share the concerns being expressed about Trump’s bombing of IS in Nigeria, I’m also ok with taking out a bunch of conservative religious leaders who think that a women’s sole role is to have and raise babies and who want to impose their religious beliefs on the rest of us.

Every Democrat running for office needs to promise investigations and full prosecutions from top to bottom, remove its funding bloat then break up the agency and distribute its core remaining useful functions across other agencies.
ICE detain father shopping on Christmas Eve—then steal his family's groceries.

Then 3 agents divvy up his paid for food—taking what they want for themselves.

"Can I just get the wife's number to call and let her know?" woman asks.

"No, guess he should've complied," agent says.

I keep saying this but no one is connecting the dots. The war is to satisfy legal preconditions for mass removal *domestically* of Latinos (i.e., suddenly a lot of people are going to be “Venezuelan” for purposes of removal). This is 100% Stephen Miller…oil claim is to make grandpa go along
There is no national security logic that would impel the US to want to do regime change in Venezuela. It's simply not that important. I'm not even sure wag the dog is the right metaphor for what's happening here. Seems like an insane misallocation of US national security assets and attention.
Trump: "Venezuela is completely surrounded by the largest Armada ever assembled ... It will only get bigger, and the shock to them will be like nothing they have ever seen before — Until such time as they return to the USA all of the Oil, Land, and other Assets that they previously stole from us."

This is the big thing Rs get that Dems need to understand: just keep attacking on all fronts at all times.
“I’m sure that Khanna and others were constantly being told by Democratic “strategists” not to let Epstein “distract” from the focus on “kitchen table” issues…But one has to pull on all levers of power, and one doesn’t know ahead of time which one might work.”

The president saw defeat and ran. But that doesn’t mean the fight over releasing the files is over.

I’m convinced the only reason #Trump is calling for a vote on the #Epstein files is bc it’s going to pass anyway, and he wants to be seen as not trying to hide anything, all while he keeps trying to hide . . . everything.

MT Greene may be showing herself to be a better political strategist than I had given her credit for. She seems to be creating a space for herself for the post-Trump era. Supportive of Trump but independent.

Regarding the Democratic “cave” on the shutdown, the chief problem I have with the criticism about Schumer is the assumption that he “controls” the Senate Dems. He does not. The Minority Leader has only a little power within his/her caucus and virtually no power in the Senate itself.

When something cannot continue forever, it doesn’t.
The 400 richest Americans are now worth a record $6.6 trillion.

The entire bottom 50% of America is worth just $4.2 trillion.

Read that back.

When 400 people control more wealth than half a country’s population, we have a very serious problem.

🚨A new Washington Post-ABC News-Ipsos poll shows that on the economy — the issue that carried Trump back to the White House — only 37% of Americans approve of his performance, compared to 62% who disapprove. This is in line with other recent polls.

This is a very serious problem for Republicans.

Do NOT laugh at Trump for “not knowing” that those MS13 tattoos on the picture of Abrego Garcia's knuckles were photoshopped on that picture. He KNOWS that they're fake! This is how they want the world to work: they make a decision, they tell us why they made that decision, and we all just go along.
