Electricity bills are going down as the #budget2025 moves some renewables obligations from bills to the Treasury and scrap ECO scheme

Flipping cold this morning ❄️

One of the best things about having an #EV is being able to pre-heat it remotely. No scraping, no risk of the car running on the drive with the keys in, no pollution

Take your pick, the highest average is 51.7 miles a day for 35-54 year old men

I drove combustion for 30 years, I never woke up with more petrol in the tank than I went to bed with

Charging management means get home, plug in - takes 10 seconds

I always use as much HVAC as I want

Still entirely missing the point and quoting the top pay for headteachers in London

So let me help you, median teacher pay is £46,280

Every doctor past the foundation years is earning a lot more than that

I have to confess I love the iX. Yes it’s buck toothed and too expensive, but it’s a great car

If Ford had any sense they would launch an electric Fiesta inspired by the XR2

Renault has shown how to do this with the R5

Tidal power is great in theory, but under the sea is just such a harsh environment. Let’s see if anyone cracks it

Yes, failing to upgrade the grid in good time was a mistake

We already have lots of inter-connectors and electricity goes in both directions
November 14, 2025 at 1:51 PM
They do, and pay goes up a lot less

Headteacher pay starts at £58,569, what do consultants get paid?
November 14, 2025 at 1:41 PM
They have completed their medical degrees and become doctors, that is true. They are still in training in those foundation years

They also get paid extra for nights, weekends and on call. So no resident doctor is actually taking home the basic rate
November 14, 2025 at 12:49 PM
Bravo to the Republic of Ireland 👏
November 13, 2025 at 9:46 PM
Because at that pay scale they are still a doctor in 1st year training

You are not talking about experienced specialists

Moulin Rouge was great 😀

It's thoroughly miserable weather in the W Midlands today, grey and raining

Really not great for solar, but I'm still generating enough to run the house *and* trickle charge the batteries
November 12, 2025 at 12:20 PM
The UK is currently 59.4% powered by wind 😀
