Really excellent. And it’s good to hear someone (finally!) recognize that the point of strong response early in the curve is to avoid an even stronger, more damaging response being forced upon you later.

And being in the US, I’d not realised until listening to this that the UKs report had come out. I may have more to say once I’ve read more about it. It would be great if the US held a similar inquiry but a) fat chance and b) enough on our plate right now

I’ve no idea. But if they were done and shared in an appropriate fashion we would be able to see the evidence and assess it for ourselves

Indeed. And now I have some idea what was causing the TX outbreak, given that this afternoon I noticed a bunch of new UT measles genomes on the nextstrain tree.
