Small FYI--when you see many of my blogs leading off with a Song Selection, it is for followers or those who are curious to check out some cool indie rock artists/bands. I pick a song based on my mood, so I hope you get a chance to check out the song and the albums when you get some time.
A huge media story worth checking on with Paramount accepting three bids last week. Puck senior correspondent John Ourand interviewed Axios Media Correspondent Sara Fischer on the third YouTube podcast "The Varsity".

Definitely worth checking out:

Thank you for putting up with my first (and probably one of the very few) attempts at live blogging on Bluesky. I hope you had as much fun following my posts as I did watching and listening to the game online. Congratulations to Saskatchewan for winning their first Grey Cup since 2013.

A long Hail Mary pass falls incomplete in the right part of the end zone, and Sasketchewan is the 2025 Grey Cup Champions, hanging on to beat Montreal 25-17
What a game!
I've been a CFL fan since the early 1990's, but I try to follow the games occasionally (thanks to seeing games online.) It was fun

Critical third down catch by Montreal, six seconds to go.
November 17, 2025 at 2:47 AM
Saskatchewan could only get the ball close to midfield, but they had to punt. Montreal gets one last chance with 58 seconds to go at their own 23. The Alouettes would have to go 87 yards to tie the game.

2:31 left in regulation in the 112th Grey Cup--Sasketchewan 25, Montreal 17.
November 17, 2025 at 2:35 AM
Missed opportunities in the final minutes--Saskatchewan missed a field goal attempt from 38 yards. Shortly thereafter, S. Patterson tried to run in for the potential tying score but fumbled the ball around the goal line, but the Riders recovered as Montreal blew a golden chance to tie the game.
November 17, 2025 at 2:35 AM
Montreal inched closer, thanks to a 23 yard field goal. 10 unanswered points by the Alouettes has them in a one score game. Saskatchewan continues to lead, but the score is 25-17 with 7:21 to play in regulation time.
November 17, 2025 at 2:23 AM
Montreal finds some much needed offensive execution, and it leads to a touchdown. An 8 play, 74 yard drive that lasted nearly four minutes.
End of third quarter, with Saskatchewan still leading 25-14.
November 17, 2025 at 2:07 AM
Field goal good for the Riders, as Saskatchewan increases their lead to 25-7, with 3:59 to go in the third quarter.
November 17, 2025 at 1:58 AM
Montreal is intercepted for the third time, and the Riders looking to put the Grey Cup on ice late in the third quarter.
November 17, 2025 at 1:54 AM
Riders taking firm control, as a deep pass leads to the second TD run, a one yard burst from Tommy Stevens. Less than 12 minutes to go in the third quarter. It’s all Saskatchewan leading 22-7.
November 17, 2025 at 1:41 AM
Riders add to their lead with a 4 yard touchdown run after the 3 minute warning. Montreal didn’t do much in the final minute, so we reached half-time.
Saskatchewan 15, Montreal 7.
November 17, 2025 at 1:13 AM
* Stevens, auto correct getting all fancy
November 17, 2025 at 12:32 AM
Tommy Steven’s finds the end zone, but not before a defensive pSs interference call has many fans shaking their heads. 8!play, 73 yard drive that lasted over 4 minutes. Saskatchewan 8, Montreal 7.
11:36 remains until halftime.
November 17, 2025 at 12:31 AM
Third and goal and Shae Patterson found the end zone with 1 minute left in the first quarter. What determination. First TD for Montreal gives the lead 7-1 as we reached the end of the first quarter.
November 17, 2025 at 12:21 AM
Field position dictating the Grey Cup thus far. Riders punted again, so the Alouettes get the ball at midfield (the 55 yard line, instead of the 50).
November 17, 2025 at 12:09 AM
For the American readers, the CFL doesn’t have touchbacks. Even if a player touches the ball or kneels it in the end zone, the kicking team gets the single point.
November 17, 2025 at 12:07 AM
112th Grey Cup underway in chilly Winnipeg.
Montreal tried going deep in their first drive, but was intercepted. Saskatchewan nearly turned the ball over on their first drive, but had to punt the ball into the end zone. The Riders got a single point. 6:27 to go in the first quarter.
