My brother mentioned this sketch to me about silent letters in many of our English words. See if you 😂 like I did.

In 1994, a math professor discovered that Intel's Pentium chip sometimes gave the wrong answer when dividing. Fixing this "FDIV" bug cost Intel $475 million. I analyzed the Pentium chip and found the bug. 1/N

Cafes jumped on the craze and started serving “uranium sundaes” and “uranium burgers”. (They did not contain actual uranium.) To understand why there was there so much excitement about uranium in the 1950s, you have to understand energy density. zionlights.substack.com/p/energy-den...

I get mocked a little for my obsession for tracking my home finances. I’ve done it for years with the same software and resisted changing off Quicken98. I run it on an isolated Windows XP host. It’s so cute when I’ve successfully reconciled my statements in a Microsoft clippy kind of way.

Sounds great. In my last year of employment I had banked enough previous years and untaken current year holidays to take Fridays off for my last three months. Those four day weeks did energise me for productive detailed work and at the same time wound me down for my retirement.
Labour is supposedly considering a four-day-week, so a friend and I looked into what’s really happening👇

I visited the Mary Rose museum in Portsmouth and was in awe of the quality of the ship’s remains and its many artefacts after almost 500 years submerged.

Knowledgeable staff answered my questions and the building housing this marvellous wooden structure and the artefact displays were top notch.
