I'm terrified that when the Bengals finish 4-13 they fire Zac but keep the brain trust that is Duke Tobin and 3 members of the Brown family basically making the soft reset useless.

I hope for that cuz it'll be more likely they clean house. Only thing that would suck with the full tank is the offense seems like they are about to go full mutiny and say how much the defense sucks in public and last thing Bengals need in 2026 is a pissed off Chase IMO.

Also put out messaging that no team was wanting to meet their asking price (it's a 1st, 3rd, 6th, and your third highest PFF defender)

Mike Brown would rather watch the stadium crumble into the Ohio than pay people not to work. Worst part is while Zac needs to be gone, the rot is still in the building as long as the personnel department is headed by anyone with the last name Brown/Blackburn and honorary family member Duke Tobin

Since they made the SB they've drafted maybe 1-2 quality defenders (Dax and DJ) and the bargain bin replacements to patch holes haven't worked (Nick Scott, Sheldon Rankins, Geno Stone, TJ Slaton). I think it's time for Zac to move on but until they get an actual GM/scouts it's more of this.

Marvin stayed for nearly 2 decades without a playoff win. Zac's (aka Lou's defense + Burrow magic) 21'-22' gonna get him at least til 2030.

It's amazing too because Xavier will have their worst team in about 25 years and the Reds hate spending money more than the Bengals. Burrow just needs to demand the trade to LAR or the Saints so everyone can finally peace out from watching the Bengals ever again.

Both him and Darnold flaming out on their original teams then again on the Panthers and then coming out the other side as quality starters feels like a dream at this point.
