And the one time a Holocaust museum actually did issue a statement condemning genocide broadly, they had to retract it lest people "misinterpret" it as sympathetic with Gaza and Palestinians.

It's sickening, because Holocaust education was instrumental to my understanding of justice in the world!

And what I find absolutely shocking is how Holocaust museums world-wide have refused to condemn the genocide in Gaza, or stayed silent. Which seems to lend credence to Hurwitz's argument that the lessons of the Holocaust must remain confined purely to Germany, Jews, and the 1930s-40s. Period.

Her argument - issued here and in other recent speeches - is that we must not universalize the lessons of the Holocaust.

The Holocaust happened, and THAT'S IT!

Anything you might learn about powerful nations harming a weakened people, or systemic violence, or genocide is erroneous.

Honestly, I'm worried for Zohran's safety. I feel like he's walking into Joffrey Baratheon's court, and may not come out.

The administration has said repeatedly that they want to take away his citizenship and deport him. And now Trump is calling for the execution of Democrats.

Exactly! Why are people trying to sanitize her so quickly?! She helped create this monster, now she's upset it's turned on her; that's not sympathetic, that's karma.

If she turns over a new leaf, let it be away from the levers of power as a private citizen. A quiet one.

If you want a palate cleanser, Mike Flannigan's Fall of the House of Usher looks at wealth and greed, and unlike Succession is explicitly condemning the amount of harm the Usher family does with their wealth and in the name of keeping it.

"Internal service degradation"...?

Sounds like they told their employees that they wouldn't be getting a Holiday bonus this year, but instead get a pizza party, and then the employees "degraded" the service.

"With significant GOP support"? Guys, come on, why did you frame the headline like that?

This wasn't significant support, this was reluctant support at the last minute when it was clear it was gonna happen anyway and no GOP member wanted to have their names associated with not releasing the files.

So that DOES HAPPEN! I always suspected, but I didn't just want to assume trollish behaviour, like maybe they had a bad connection or their kids interrupted them or something.

But god that's annoying...

So the opposition isn't interested in triggering an election? Well, if Carney takes a page out of the Harper playbook, the next thing he'll do is ram through 5-10 pieces of legislation and make each one a confidence vote.

Isn’t the Starship Voyager meant to make an appearance here?

This movie was sooo goood! Rose the Hat was a terrifying villain, too.
