"The message I got was spend your money, don't worry about the future,"

Neal, firstly, learn to listen to whole sentences and secondly, given your age, that would be great if you did that.

The BBC should have an explanatory sentence here about what the ISA changes actually are.

At some point soon, a mum or a dad will be in a shop. They will for the first time in a long time have a choice. Because that is what the lifting of the two child limit gives them. A bit more of the ability to choose what is right for them and their kids. This is a beautiful thing.

Torsten Bell is doing very well at standing his ground and sounding like someone with a bit of knowledge, a bit of passion and a bit of grip. More of this

I had a dream last night that Disney + had a Pokémon collection. But one of the categories was the voice actors doing PG JOI in a studio. Another category had episodes of Adolescence in between some episodes in the series link

Poem 1.

I like my son but he's pretty fucking dumb
He can get ripped but he can't have fun
He's never talked shit in a kitchen of a stranger
When I saw mates he only seems to see danger

He may spend time keeping really trim
But no one he knows thinks he has
Anything about him

'we need to prove immigration still works' says the home secretary. The sixth home secretary out of the last ten where at least one of their parents were none British and they themselves are none white. Of the remaining 4 Shapps had Jewish heritage and Amber Rudd's grandfather emigrated from the US

This is maddening. I genuinely had 'Starmer super fan' in my twitter bio. Now we are stating that migrants have something to prove to us. Based on what? Nothing. This government has provided nothing but nebulous bollocks like 'incalculable damage' and then carried on cruel conservatism

We must prove that 'immigration can still work'. What barometer are they using for it having failed other than some racists are upset? Or are they insinuating all manner of ills are migrants fault?

This Farage was a racist stuff seems very much like it was saved for an election campaign but is now being spammed for expedient reasons.

Kemi saying the Church of England is the Labour party at prayer because she hasn't bothered to read the whole bible is fucking incredible work. Commitment to the bit

If net migration last year was 340k it's nothing to write home about and so fucking shut up about it

It is 2005, the internet is a distributed network of servers designed so that no one outage can take down the entire network

It is 2025, the internet relies on three companies, problems with any one of which can cripple a significant proportion of the global economy
there’s a major AWS outage going on right now that’s taken down Fortnite, Alexa, Snapchat, Perplexity, Roblox, and lots more of the internet. US-EAST-1 is down and impacting a lot of services that rely on AWS www.theverge.com/news/802486/...

Labour GE24: We must turn the page decisively on the Conservative ideas that have caused the chaos....This ‘age of insecurity’ requires the government to step up, not stand aside.

Labour Nov25: Give me your jewellery and don't get comfortable. Insert false big claim to appeal to papers here.

Rather than get angry. Write to your MP. Tell them politely how you feel.

I did. And I firmly believe this rebellion will be like the welfare bill and gut the governments bill. Get typing

I think there is a book in the Priti, Suella, Shabana choices of home secretary and what that has meant for our inward migration and standing on the world stage. Not to say Saj or Yvette weren't worth discussing but there is something worth discussing in comparing their tenures.

Imagine being a singer song writer in 1971 listening to Carole Kings Tapestry and wondering what to do with your career now someone has released something so exquisite

I want Britain to be a place where living here is the golden ticket. Cos it's like to a good thing. Rather than a grim ordeal which is what subsequent governments have made living here and trying to live here.

There is a reason the majority of horror films are set in the 70s
"What is certain, and felt instinctively by almost everybody, is that things cannot go on in their present way" – The Times, May 1975

“It is difficult to imagine a previous period when such an all-pervasive hopelessness was exhibited at all levels of British life” – Professor Stephen Haseler, 1975
