Also, I haven’t done the math, but between having Artoo, Yoda and Vader as scene partners I think Mr. Hamill might’ve had a total of one minute actually acting across another human face in Empire Strikes Back.

The prequels have given me even more respect for Mark Hamill because I really think he threw himself into a role with such dedication that tricky dialogue felt natural from him.

I’m just as powerfully struck by how taking time away from writing makes getting back into the flow feel so awkward, like I have to work my way back into an ill-fitting coat

That’s what bothers me the most, I think. If they actually thought they were never going to get a concession they could of gotten out in front of this and established that they felt the R’s would be perfectly content starving people so they made Sophie’s choice. But this just seems weaselly and weak

Trying to find a silver lining here but maybe the momentum will continue, but now the fuel will be anger at the incumbent dem senators. I can certainly say I’ll still be pissed cone primary time

Well this last election saw republicans routed because of their actions leading to the shutdown and the next will hopefully see sitting dems routed in primaries because of their actions ending the shutdown. I guess that’s something, maybe? Hell I don’t know anymore

I feel like Joe Scarborough is the James Corden of politics. Not sure how that works but it feels right.
